It is used in manufacturing of heavy-duty axles, shafts, gears, bolts, and studs. This alloy steel can be surface hardened to 50-60 HRC by nitride or induction process. It is capable to retain high impact value at low temperatures, thus is suitable for use in harsh applications including hydraulic bolt tensioners and ship borne mechanical handling equipment. EN 24 Alloy Steel is obtainable at very reasonable price to be able to provide our products to large number of people.
